Contest winners
Thanks to everyone who submitted a double feature for the contest. It was rough choosing three winners, but these three made me laugh, think, or otherwise amused me.
The winners will be contacted via DM on the social media site they used to post their comment.
In no particular order:
Trey Lawson over at BlueSky had such an oddly specific pairing. This double feature invokes Patrick Troughton, Christopher Lee, Peter Capaldi, and Hugh Grant, somehow wrapping it in a "Doctor Who and Bram Stoker" sandwich. That's the kind of stuff I'm into. Enjoy the game.
Over on Mastodon, Clinton came up with something devilishly simple and clever. It also theoretically could have been a drive-in double double feature. A good number of drive-ins would show one movie for the family, with the second movie for the grown-ups. It also helps that this made my wife and I giggle. May your popcorn be served just the way you like it.
"Try the Brie, it's American Cheese Month!" invoked two favorites with a common thread: William Atherton is great at playing jerks. I think he's an underappreciated character actor, and I couldn't help but dig this entry as a result. My wife also agrees with this sentiment.
Incredibly sorry to everyone whose entries weren't picked. But don't fret! Another chance to win a free download code will come very soon! This one will not involve double features, but will still involve a bit of creativity.
