Welcome to the Drive-in

Become part of drive-in history, as the curator of your very own drive-in movie theater, open Friday-Sunday every week.

You have been tasked with curating double features across 14 weekends, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, while also coming up with a few other surprises for your patrons.

We hope this will be a fun way to discover some new movies, while rediscovering some old favorites.

"Cult of the Drive-In" is a solo TTRPG, but it's also a love letter to films and drive-in movie theaters around the world.

Cards and dice will help you pick feature films and special events. The game can take hours or weeks, depending on how you play.

Requires:

  • Deck of cards, with Jokers
  • One six-sided die (1D6)
  • One ten-sided die (1D10)
  • Pencil and paper (or the digital note-taking tool of your choice)
  • Knowledge of movies

Visit cultofthedrivein.com to find out how you can submit your own movie picks and more.

Yesterday, I've released my own game about curated movie screenings and I've only found your game just now after seeing it in a wishlist. Just bought your game now, but I think our games have the same core (i.e. love of movies and going to the movies), but diverge in different playing experiences. I love how your game gives so much emphasis on the customization of the events and the drive-in, that looks quite fun. Looking forward to have a full playthrough with it.

Thanks! I think anything that opens people up to new movies, or helps them rediscover old favorites, can only be a good thing. I absolutely love how your game is written in a screenplay format. It looks fantastic, and I can't wait to give it a proper play through.
